Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy coaching from Teak. By buying, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand) or the Australian Consumer Law.

What Teak is

Teak is one-to-one coaching on sleep, training, body composition, alcohol, stress and pelvic floor training, based on blood test results you share with us. Teak is not medical care. We don't diagnose, prescribe, order tests or change medication, and coaching is not a substitute for seeing a doctor.

Who it is for

You must be 18 or over. Teak isn't suitable if you are taking testosterone, hCG or clomiphene, or if any of the situations on who this isn't for apply to you. If we find one of them applies, we will tell you and refund any coaching you haven't received.

No promised results

People respond differently, and a blood test is affected by things outside anyone's control. We promise the process: we read your results with you, give you a plan, check in as described, and compare your retest. We don't promise any particular testosterone level, symptom change or other outcome.

Your part

  • Give us accurate information, including medications and health conditions.
  • Book and pay for your own blood tests through your GP or a lab.
  • See a doctor when we recommend it, and before making any change if you have a medical condition.
  • Seek urgent help (000 in Australia, 111 in New Zealand) for anything urgent. The chat is not an emergency service.

Timing

Your coaching starts when we have your results and you are ready. Weekly check-ins run for the length of the plan you bought. If you need a pause, tell us in the chat and we will work something out.

Payment and refunds

Prices are shown at checkout in the currency of your market. New Zealand prices include GST. Australian prices are for customers who live in Australia and are in Australia while they are coached; if you live in New Zealand, will spend more than a short visit there during your plan, or are buying for someone in New Zealand, New Zealand GST applies, so please tell us. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the coaching concerned. This does not apply to any rights or remedies you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. If you live in Australia, you also keep the protections of the Australian Consumer Law. We may update these terms; the version in force when you bought applies to that purchase.
