When we send you to a doctor.
Some things are a job for a doctor, not a coach. If any of these apply, we tell you plainly and straight away, and we stop coaching on it until you've been seen.
-
Pain, a lump or swelling in a testicle
It needs examining in person, and soon.
Your GP, this week.
-
Breast tissue that has grown recently
It can have causes a blood test alone won't show.
Your GP.
-
Headaches with changes to your vision
Together they can point to the pituitary gland.
Your GP, promptly.
-
Chest pain, breathlessness on exertion, or erection problems that came on suddenly
These can be early signs of heart or blood vessel problems.
Your GP, promptly. If chest pain is happening now, 000 or 111.
-
A total testosterone result below your lab's reference range on a repeat morning test
That needs a doctor's assessment, whatever your LH. We can coach the lifestyle side alongside them once they have looked at it.
Your GP or an endocrinologist.
-
Low testosterone with high, low or normal LH
Either pattern can point to a cause a coach cannot treat, in the testes or the pituitary.
Your GP, who may refer you to an endocrinologist or urologist.
-
A pituitary, testicular or liver condition, or cancer treatment
Your care team needs to be across anything you change.
The doctor managing it.
-
You're already on testosterone, hCG or clomiphene
We don't adjust treatment someone else is managing.
Your prescriber.
-
